Accounts Assistant - Admin

The Role

The Accounts Assistant works closely with the Financial Controller as part of a small Finance team. This is a broad role across the department which also interacts with different stakeholders across the wider business. This role is ideal for somebody who is well organised, has an eye for detail, is comfortable working with numbers, and above all is looking to learn and develop. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will work towards a professional accountancy qualification, which will be supported by the company. The Accounts Assistant will spend the majority of their time working in Sage Business Accounting and in Microsoft Excel. Some previous experience with these systems is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day entry of information into our accounting system
  • Preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting tasks
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet, supplier, and bank accounts
